just found out about Bill. he was my best pal in the Army Band.  I knew Monica and was in San Diego when his son Brian was born.  my condolences to the entire family who treated me great.  John Bittelari

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Giles passing. He was without question one of the coolest dads on the planet and was always a man I always looked up to. Mr Giles was always so kind with a quick smile and a friendly nature to all of us growing up and those that all hung out together in their neighborhood. You never forget the dads that took the time to encourage sports and athleticism and Mr Giles was a body builder before it even became cool to be one. He was a gentle giant and I will never forget how friendly he was despite his imposing physique with his massive arms in a tank top. My thoughts are with Brian, Marcus and Mrs Giles. Thank you Mr Giles for being a role model to all of us sir.

Papa I love you so much and you'll always be in my prayers... I miss you so much and everyday you cross my mind.

You'll never know how much we all miss you, because you are in paradise. However, the selfish part of me wants and needs you here. I want to tell you how many people you touched and inspired in your life. I want to tell you there is another great grandchild on the way. I want you to hug mom and I, all of us. So many things we didn't get to do! Chicago, we never made it, but at some point James and I will go and you'll be there, because you will forever be in my heart. We will be ok, because you taught us to be strong and unified. I am so lucky and proud to be your daughter.  I will forever play your songs and smile, maybe cry a bit, but mostly happy we had all those DJ sessions. Rest Dad.

I am blessed and honored to have you in my life.  Thank you for all that you taught me over the years.  My family loves and misses you.

Bill    Your gym family will miss your powerful presence buddy. You left a wonderful legacy. I will miss you and Monica always training together and me and you would start talking about sports  Jim Mc Mahon or what ever and she would come over and break us up. RIP

I am blessed to have know you Bill.  You may not have been perfect, but you made most men and fathers look weak and selfish.

34 years I knew you and there are so many funny stories and great moments that you made possible.

Until tonight I did not know you served in the Army.  Thank you for your service.

When people ask me about Brian and Marcus, I tell a store of you and Monica.  How you were at every practice  and at every game coaching, cheering and supporting all of your kids.

How you must have pitched a million baseballs and the sacrifices you must have endured to put your Kids and family first, is inspiring.

I have taken little nuggets of character from many men in my life.  Your actions as a man, father, husband, coach and a friend were a huge influence in my life.

 Thank you for pushing and believing in me as a kid!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.  Monica, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I worked for Bill at valley wide. Has such a great man with a huge heart. This world lost someone special.

Our family is deeply saddened by Bills passing. We shared many great memories together, our kids Ray & Brandi wedding ,Christmas ,Thanksgiving, Birthdays and many more. Bill we will miss your funny jokes your smile and your laughs.. Lord you  definitely added another amazing angel In heaven.. Our hearts and prayers go out to Monica and the family..

Oh death where is your sting? Oh grave where is your victory? Thanks be to God who gives us victory over death and the grave through our Lord Jesus Christ. I know I will see my dear brother Bill again and for that I am thankful.

Bill or as I called him Billy Bob or DAD has been my father in law for the last 18 years.  He is not only my father in law but a friend as well.  He would always be someone I could ask for advice and made sure I always knew if I needed someone he would be there for me.  I will miss his presence and the many fun times I got to enjoy with him and granny.  I can never replace him in my families life and I will make sure we continue to honor him like he deserves for the rest of my life.  RIP Billy, I Love You man and thanks for not only being the best father in law but a Dad to me as well.

Bill was instantly loved by anyone that he crossed paths with. He was such a kind, loving, humble man. Always making others laugh. Work will not be the same without him, He would sit in my chair every morning & say "I'm just keeping it warm for ya!" He will be deeply missed by all of us. Dear, The Giles family,  I was hired in 1980 by this wonderful man at  Mission Cable. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years. Bill was
the life of the party, a great person, funny and knew how to work hard but yet have fun. I have countless
memories of Bill talking about his precious family and how proud he was.  Baseball was his love. Bill was a role model and he was a great friend. He worked in the dispatch trailer and we often joked with him how he always smelled so clean and fresh. 
If he wasn't in his office we could follow his trail of cologne. The memories I have of Bill will be cherished forever. He was the best boss I've ever had.  I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. 
May the memories and love hold your family together at this difficult time.
