Alan worked for 42 years as a hair stylist and salon owner. The last 23 years Alan owned and developed Cut-Ups Salon in Lake Jackson, TX into a vital part of the community. Alan worked for several salons in the Brazosport area throughout his career including Maximillian’s, Hair Affair, Signatures, and Corporate Hair 2000. Alan was first known by his family as a sweet and loving son, grandson, brother, uncle and cousin. He brought so many wonderful qualities to his family through his sense of adventure and fun. In his 30’s Alan became a father and proved to be a phenomenal dad who loved his boys immensely. As a father, Alan poured all his energies into the lives of his sons and providing for them. He was involved in all their activities and was proud of each and every accomplishment, no matter how big or small. Finally, Alan was a friend. Alan had a personality that people gravitated to. He was always the “Authentic Alan” and demonstrated his genuineness and love to them all through his kindness and support. Alan was an amazingly talented person with an eye for style. It came through in everything he did, whether it was a great cut and color, sketch, painting or decorating his home. He had class. Alan loved the outdoors and being at his home, sitting on his porch or the deck at the River House. Above all else, Alan loved the Lord.
