Andres Leija Jr.

Andres was born on February 19, 1977 in San Juan, TX, to the late Andres Leija Sr. and Maura Leija Aguilar.

Andres was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, loved grocery shopping, riding on the shopping carts, cooking, barbequing, listening to corridos, going to comedy and car shows, spoiling his nieces and nephews, giving advice, helping family, and eating sweets. He was a very humble and simple man with a beautiful, big heart of gold. Andres had a great sense of humor, always wore a smile on his face, and was a REAL WARRIOR all his life. Andres will always be remembered and missed because he fought to continue living till the end.

Andres is preceded in death by his father, Andres Leija Sr.; his sister, Adriana Diaz; his grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Andres is survived by his mother, Maura Leija; brother, Enrique Leija; sister, Rosie Cervantes; brother in law, Nick Cervantes; niece, Alina Cervantes; niece, Nicole Cervantes; nephew, Nick Cervantes Jr.; niece, Angelina Leija; nephew, Mathew Leija; Nephew, Ricky Diaz Jr.; and nephew, James Diaz.

A visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home, located at 1038 West Plantation Drive, Clute, Texas, 77531, on January 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A celebration of life will take place at the same venue on January 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
