Carolyn Imogene Baumgardener, 76, of Freeport, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Restwood Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Carolyn was born January 3, 1938 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Henry Wilbur Cato and Daisy Belle Peek. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a very devout Christian. She will be missed by numerous family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband J.H. “Frenchy” Baumgardener; her parents; sister Mary Ford; brothers Johnny Cato and James Cato; two children Rachelle Diane Malkey and the other was unnamed; she is also preceded by her loving cat Sassy.
Survivors include her daughter Teri Wotipka; son Steven Malkey and wife Kathy; daughter Donna Thomas and husband James; grandchildren Matthew, Katie, Allison, Ariel, Melanie and Brandon; and great-grandchildren Henry and Calvin.
