There are things I wish I could have said today about Grandma Cathy but I feel everyone said them for me. I heard a phrase today I’ll never forget “you can’t subtract from a family, only add to it” Grandma Cathy did all of that and more. She welcomed my family into hers as did everyone in our family.   

I’ve never felt more love. Even when I moved across the country 6 months ago she would send me texts to make sure I was warm and check on me.  I’m so proud to call her family  and services today only reinforced that.  She had so much love to give.  She will always love us. Anytime you doubt a decision  just remember Grandma Cathy wouldn’t let you doubt.   She would support you wholeheartedly.  My entire family is blessed to be apart of her life.  

Memaw and PawPaw, yall have helped to save the babies and mine lives and fought very hard for us all over these years.  Cathy you encouraged me to leave an abusive situation because you knew we deserved it.  You saw us in a better situation than we were and then wouldn't let me settle for less than we deserved. You and Gene came over our first Christmas as a family of 3  (both babies were in diapers haha) and provided a Christmas for us to enjoy.  I will never forget my gratitude.  Memaw I still have the bracelet you gave me that told me I was a good mom.  I treasure it.  Even more now than ever because when you gave it to me I needed to know that then.  I want to be like you in so many ways.  I want you to know how much I love you.  Your strength, beauty,  love for your "kiddos", your fight and might fire us all up! I promise you the same promise I made at Jason's funeral to watch over and keep care of Kayla. Now I promise  to love and be here for Gene, Brian,Dusty  and their families always.  God's Word says that angels rejoice when a saint enters into Heaven and I know they are welcoming you with the most glorious entrance into a place God already prepared for us all.  I will see you, my brother  Jason and many others when it's my time.  I love you Memaw.  Luby for life.

Cathy, I love you dearly.  You were always so kind and loving to me.  I’m comforted knowing you are at peace and reunited with Jason.  You will be missed sweet soul.

Cathy was a very sweet person,loved her family and extended family immensely.Now the Suffering has ended ,she is at rest in the arms of  God. Condolences and Blessings to Gene and their family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Gene. I know your beloved will be missed dearly, but have peace in your heart  knowing Cathy  is resting in God’s loving arms, until you meet her again. 🙏
