Charles Jesse Miller Jr.

Charles Jesse Miller Jr., 53, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2026. Born on July 4, 1973, to Helen Miller and Charles Jesse Miller Sr., Jesse lived a life defined by art, humor, music, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him.

Jesse was a true artist in every sense of the word. His father introduced him to photography, but his talents extended far beyond the camera. He was a gifted photographer, painter, illustrator, and drummer with a natural ability to bring his ideas to life, no matter the medium.

Nature photography became a particular passion and eventually grew into Charles Jesse Miller Photography. Jesse had a gift for noticing what others might pass by—the light, landscapes, wildlife, and quiet details of nature—and preserving those moments through his lens. He became a staple in the local community and was a regular at the Brazoria County Art League, where he shared his work and connected with fellow artists.

Music was another important part of Jesse’s life. A talented drummer and lifelong lover of music, he loved playing, attending concerts, and sharing that passion with the people closest to him.

Most recently, Jesse played with The Baby Copperheads, continuing to do something he loved alongside other musicians. Whether behind a camera, working on a piece of art, or sitting behind a drum set, Jesse approached everything with his own unmistakable style.

Beyond his many talents, Jesse will be remembered for the person he was. He was hilarious, sarcastic, quick-witted, compassionate, and supportive. He had an incredible ability to make people laugh, usually with a perfectly timed comment that only Jesse could deliver. He was unapologetically himself, and those who knew him knew there would never be another quite like him.

Jesse is survived by his sister, Tanya Crain, and her partner, Jeff Bingham; his niece, Jessica Rahm, and her partner, Jocelyn Rahm; his aunts, Sandra Florez-Loechel, Rosalee F. Harris, Irma Jo Florez, Angie (James) McGinty, Anna Marie Brown, Jeanetta (Gina), and Benedetta “Darla” (Tommy) Duplantis; his uncles, Dino Florez and Dominick Florez; his best friend, Will Evans; his girlfriend, Ciara Loftus; along with extended family, friends, fellow artists, musicians, and the many people throughout the community who knew and loved him.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Miller and Charles Jesse Miller Sr.; his grandparents, Lazida Miller, Oreste Miller, Armando Florez, and Giuseppina “Pina” D’Amicis Florez; his cousin, Scotty McGinty; and his longtime best friends, Chad Holt and Jared Price.

A visitation honoring Jesse’s life will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lake Jackson Dignity Funeral Home, 1038 Plantation Dr., Clute, Texas.

In Jesse’s honor, guests are encouraged to wear jeans and their favorite band shirt.
