

Coleman Glen Lindsey, 79, of Angleton passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Alvin, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born to James R. “Tiny” and Effie Marie Lindsey in Groesbeck, Texas on May 6, 1936. His family moved to Freeport, Texas in 1940 where he was a resident for 69 years.
Glen was a member of Ironworkers Local 135 and worked as an ironworker from 1955 until 1998 when he retired. His family was the most important part of his life and he worked very hard to make sure he could support and help them in any way possible. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and “Poppa”.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years Jo Ann Wells Lindsey; his parents: grand-daughters Gwendolyn Lindsey and Kimberly Lindsey; brothers Alvie Lindsey, John Lindsey, Bill Lindsey, and Dennis Lindsey.
Glen’s survivors include his children; son Terry Lindsey (Rhonda) of Lake Jackson, daughter Debra Pina (Candido) of Angleton; grandchildren Aimee Knox (Brian) of Dickinson, Joey Stowers (Brandy) of Lake Jackson, Erin Matthews (Stephen) of Lake Jackson, Lyndsie Farrell (Joey) of Angleton, Lauren Nichols of Angleton, and Jason Pina (Marissa) of Angleton; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Susie Eppes (Leonard) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Joey Stowers, Jason Pina, Joey Farrell, Stephan Matthews, Brian Knox, and Jimmy Boswell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Restwood Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Restwood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson at 2:00pm.
