Cynthia Gayle Bird

Cynthia known as “Cindy”, loved her ice-cold orange sodas, games, TV shows (especially crime mystery), crochet, gardening, and reading. She absolutely loved her Grandkids, and was named Booboo by her grandson Austin, which all the grandkids adopted the name. In Cindy’s young adult years, she loved going to the beach with children and friends, going camping with her husband, children and family, and enjoying pottery. Cindy was a spit fire; she had a big personality and loved her husband and family fiercely.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her father Robert Stahl sr., Mother Barbara Stahl, sister Christine Stahl Rushing, brother Robert Stahl Jr., nephew Baby Charles Rushing Jr., niece Destiny Rushing, and countless other family and friends.

Cynthia is survived by her husband of nearly 42 years Charles Michael Bird, sister Candace Lueckemeyer and husband Wayne Lueckemeyer, son Michael Shelkey jr. and wife Tiffany Shelkey, daughter Brandy Bird and wife Amanda Bird, son Joseph Bird, Stepson David Bird, Stepdaughter Denise Evans and Husband Brian Evans. Grandchildren Jacob Shelkey, Emma Shelkey, Ava Shelkey, Bella Shelkey, Jaxon Shelkey, Austin Thompson, Lakielynde Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Kyleigh Price Bird, Noah Swope, Blaine Bird, Brooke Bird, Jalee Hunt, Cole Tindell, Joshua Tindell, and many In-laws, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 West Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531, US, on August 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will be held at Restwood Memorial Park, 1038 W Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531, US, on August 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
