Del Ruth Ermis

Del Ruth Ermis, 94, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on Tuesday February 11, 2025. Ruth was the 11th of 12 siblings born on December 9, 1930, in Yoakum Texas to George and Rosella Brewer. Ruth was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America for over 40 years and the KJZT. Ruth dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband and their four children.

Ruth loved her family, friends and volunteering at St. Michaels. Devoting time every Tuesday for years in the Adoration Chapel. Co-Chair of the auction for St. Michaels church picnic for 25 years. Serving coffee and donuts after Sunday masses as part of Catholic Daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband Boots Ermis of 68 years, her parents, son Keith Wayne Ermis, 5 sister and 5 brothers.

Ruth is survived by 4 children: Craig of Alvin, Glenn and wife Kim of San Antonio, Pam of Alvin and Neil of Houston. 5 grandchildren; Alysa Sickles and husband Tyler, Ashton Rodriguez and husband Jorge, Haley Stoppelmoor and husband Brandon, Allie Grubbs and Justin Ermis, 7 great grandchildren, Brylee, Cooper, Harper, Quinn, Payton, Owen, Casey and Noah on the way in April 2025. One sibling Kenneth Brewer and wife Mildred, a sister in-law J’net Brewer. One brother in-law Dennis Ermis and wife Dela, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Pat Brewer, Tim Brewer, Mark Brewer, Kevin Brewer, Tyler Sickles, Jorge Rodriguez, Brandon Stoppelmoor.

Honorable Pallbearers are Ronnie Ermis, JW Polka, Kevin Ermis, Dean Horsley.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Michaels Catholic church of Catholic Daughters of America Court 2364.

A visitation for Del will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 100 Oak Dr S, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. A prayer service will occur Monday, February 17, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 100 Oak Dr S, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 17, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 100 Oak Dr S, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. A graveside service will occur Monday, February 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at External Service Location, 1038 W Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531.
