Dennis Lee Copeland, of Freeport, was born, Wednesday, May 24, 1961 in Freeport, Texas to Eleanor G. (Herman) and Luther Leo Copeland and died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Freeport at the age of 51 years, 7 months and 15 days. He had lived in the Freeport area most all of his life and had attended Brazosport High School and was of the Baptist faith. He had a great love for fishing and was a Jack-Of-All trades. He worked as an Offshore Engineer. He is preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Copeland Sebring. He is survived by his father, Leo Copeland and wife Shirley; sons, Jerry Lee Norton and wife Violet, Jeremy Sullivan, Dennis Lee Copeland Jr.; daughters, Crystal Dawn Copeland, Michelle Nicole Copeland; sister Mina Ruth Crocker and her husband Michael; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Leo wishes everyone to know that Dennis was “My son, my best friend and I’ll think of you everyday”
