Derek Daniel Dodd

Ravan and Debbie Ann Dodd, the youngest of three sons. Derek graduated from Brazoswood High Schooli n 2006. He attended Brazosport College as well as Texas State University.

He graduated from Naval Recruitment Training in Great Lakes, Illinois, in 2016. Family was Important to Derek. He was an avid movie-goer and loved to spend time with friends, BBQ, golf and play online video games with his brother, Jody.

Derek was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Ann Dodd; and brother, Corey DeWayne Dodd.

He will be carried in the hearts of his parents, Ravan and Emily Dodd of New Braunfels, Texas; his brother, Jody Dodd and wife, Angela of Houston, Texas; stepsisters, Amanda Leito and husband, James of Dallas, Texas, Elizabeth Leshikar of Boulder, Colorado; and by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Derek’s Life will take place at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas, at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial

will immediately follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
