Duane "DC" Boston

DC was born 9-14-38 in Okemah Oklahoma to Emery and Dorothy Boston. Beginning at an early age and raised on an oil lease, DC discovered the great outdoors and spent as many hours as possible in it. In 1956, DC graduated Pharoah high school making lifelong friends with Dink Witham and Ronnie Kirkpatrick with whom he remained in contact with until his passing.

In 1959, DC married Sandra Morford in Sharon Springs Kansas. DC and Sandra moved to Lake Jackson in 1961 where they raised their family.

DC was many things, baseball coach, softball coach, Merle Haggard fan, golfer (3 holes in one), Mr. fix it, Oklahoma Sooner fan, Houston Astros fan, pilot, fisherman, camping man, and family man.

Upon moving to Lake Jackson, DC was employed at Dow Chemical for 34½ years retiring in 1995. In his retirement, he enjoyed Monday poker with the guys, golfing, estate sales, casino gambling, Brazoswood baseball and softball games.

DC was proceeded in death by his son Daren, parents, stepfather Marven Curteman, father and mother-in-law W.W. (Jiggs) and Ruth Morford, brother Bob and sister-in-law Margie Boston, Nephews Bobby Boston and Chase Morford, brother in laws Larry Smith, and Jack Howey.

Duane is survived by his wife of 66 years Sandra, daughter Daena (Alex) Gill, son Bradley, granddaughters Denae Olivares (Alex) with the first great grandchild due in December, Darcy Boston, and grandson Michael Drone (Kimmy). DC is also survived by sister in laws Mary Jane Howey, BJ Smith, brother-in-law Bill Morford, Nieces, Tina Smith, Tiffany Figueroa (Chris), Lace Morford, Pam Weakley, Lisa Franco (Mike), Patty Pierson (Joe), Nancy Hodges (Brad), nephews Michael Howey and Scott Boston.

Celebration of Life will take place Saturday October 18, 2025, at First United Methodist Church Lake Jackson. Visitation will begin at noon with services at 2, reception to follow at the church (Wesley Hall).

Thank you, dad, you were the BEST and will FOREVER be missed!
