Elida Amalia Melendez

Elida was born to Feliciano and Lidia on June 10, 1951 in Mexico.

Elida was married to Tomas Melendez for 45 years.

She is the mother of Feliciano, Thomas Jr., and Jessica. Grandmother to Giovanni and Baleyza Melendez and Charlie, Lorenzo, and Alonzo Quintero.

Sister of Juana Gloria Jimenez Garcia, Maria Dolores Jimenez Garcia, Jose Feliciano Jimenez Garcia, and Florencio Zenon Jimenez Garcia (deceased).

Elida's hobbies included cooking, attending church, getting mani's and pedi's, and talking and spending time with loved ones. She loved watching her grandkids and spoiling them every chance she could.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Galvan, Jesse Castaneda, Daniel Metendez Jr., Miguel Garcia Jr., Ruben Cisneros, and Policarpio Cisneros Jr.

A visitation for Elida will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 1038 West Plantation Dr., Clute, Texas 77531. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1019 W 6th St, Freeport, Texas.
