Eliska Iona Morton

Eliska was born on February 5, 1949, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to the late Robert & Faye Small Duddleston.

Eliska, also known as PeeWee to those she worked with or affectionately called ‘Fat Granny’ by her many grandchildren, enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and with her animals. Her grandchildren knew she hosted amazing slumber parties and always had her puzzle books. They knew she would always have something in her purse for them whether to snack on or fix their bumps and bruises. She never met a stranger, and always knew everyone as Brother and Sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Madeline Hayes Herron; and her, daughter Morina Jacobson.

Eliska is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Rodney Morton; son, Luke Powell and wife Monica; daughter, Laura Landrum; daughter, Brenna Wilbanks; son, Neal Morton and wife Lois; daughter, Lynnette Peña and husband Rick; daughter, Bobbie Powell; and son, Luke Morton and wife Anne. She also was loved by 17 grandchildren: Lee Powell, Ashley Goff, Thomas Ryan Goff, Amber Landrum, Allison Landrum, Rachel Reyes and husband Jose, Michael Hayes, Darwin Morrow, Dylan Morrow and wife Rachel, Danielle Morton, Devyn Morton, Shelbie Sanders and husband Nick, Collin Sanders, Rhianna Potter and husband Jacob, Allen Gattshall, Tristen Sandoval and Gwendolyn Morton and great grandson Killian ‘AJ’ Sanders.

A celebration of Eliska’s life will take place on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Restwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 with the service beginning at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park, 1038 W Plantation Dr., Clute, TX 77531
