Ella Katherine Tiedemann

Ella was born on November 23, 1933 in Newton, IA to Harry and Alice (Bennett) Whetstine. She married Olin A. Tiedemann on May 6, 1951 in Grinnell, IA where they had two sons: Lyle E and Olin Jr.

They moved to Lake Jackson, TX in 1962 where they lived and raised their sons. She loved visiting her neighbors, reading, cross stitching many things, and doing crossword puzzles. Above all else, she loved being with her grandkids, great grandkids, and her adoptive grandchildren David and Emma Dobson.

Ella is survived by her sons, Lyle (Julie) of Pasadena, TX and Olin Jr. of Brazoria, TX; her grandchildren, Crystal Spears of Brazoria, TX and Kelly Nolan or Baytown, TX; her great grandchildren, Bishop Tiedemann of Bremerton, WA, Cheyanne Shane, Joshua Nolan, and Xavier Nolan all of Baytown, TX, and Alexa Tiedemann and her son Theo of Colorado; her three sisters, Rosa Dow of Newton, IA, JoAnne Orazetti of Palm Desert, CA, and Linda & Gary Mircle of Brooklyn, IA; along with all of her nieces and nephews.

Ella is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Olin Tiedemann Sr.; her parents, Harry and Alice (Bennett) Whetstine; and her best friend, Betty Peavey.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M Friday, September 2nd at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, TX.
