Federico Hernandez “Fred” Martinez, age 50, passed away from this life on April 9, 2013 in Eldorado, Kansas. He was born March 20, 1963 in Matagorda County, Texas and was a resident of Freeport, Texas most of his life. Everyone who knew Fred found a kind and caring friend. He was generous to all in his quiet, fun loving way. He will be greatly missed but leaves with all who knew him a memory of caring and sharing with others. Fred is preceded in death by his loving mother, Julia Hernandez and his loving father, Pete Rodriquez Martinez. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Patricia Bilbrey Martinez; son, Frederick Allen Martinez; daughters, Laura Ann Martinez, Julie Marie Martinez; stepson, Christopher David Giesie; stepdaughters, Lillian Ray Bilbrey and Bailey Jean Ann Bilbrey. Bringing great joy to Fred’s life were his grandchildren, Jalen Jamal Ferguson, Olivia Marie Robinson and Michael Anthony Davis III. He is also survived by his grandmother, Genoveva Hernandez; brothers, Mark Lee Martinez, Pete Martinez Jr., Rene Martinez; sister, Gina Martinez Chavez; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
