2021. In leu of funeral services she will be honored with a
memorial at a later time. She was interned at Kosse City Cemetery.
Born on June 27, 1925 in Roosevelt Oklahoma to Josiah Rufus
Morgan and Maggie Elizabeth Johnson and raised in Oklahoma
City. Flossie married Herman Dewey Owens, of Kosse, on January
16, 1957 and they made their home in Freeport until retirement
from Dow and relocating to Hoover Valley. She eventually moved
back to Lake Jackson at Carriage Inn.
Flossie always listed her occupation as homemaker and
genealogist, showing her life long passion and love for family, and
she loved to work puzzles. Born into a Primitive Baptist family she
was a member of the Gulf Coast and later the Burnet Primitive
Baptist churches.
Flossie was preceded in death by her husband Herman.
She is survived by three children, Kathy Jennette Hollomon of Sweeny, Martin Dean
Davis and his wife Tammie Elizabeth Davis of Lake Jackson, and Howard Dewey Owens
of Austin. By five grandchildren, Kimmy Hollomon-Ratjen of Sweeny, Meanette Renee
Berkley of Angleton, Danyel Davidson, Jordyn Lester and Karsyn Davis of Lake Jackson.
By three great grandchildren, Kathy Foster, Patrick Foster, Charles Foster, and by eight
great great grandchildren.
