At the age of 17 in the winter of 1946 Genaro, accompanied by his parents Herminio & Leonarda Perez Rangel came to ask for her hand in marriage. Her passion was her home, her family, cooking for her family and company. She was an immaculate housekeeper, she loved working in her yard, and stayed active thru dancing too until it became too much for her. She had learned to crotchet and knit at the age of 4 yrs. old, and thru out many years completed many beautiful pieces that she would often give as gifts. She was the Rangel/Carmona family history storyteller. Her boundless energy, her immense love for all her family and overall presence will be greatly missed every single day. Left to cherish her loving memory are her children; Herminio (Carmen), Gennie Cortez, Louis (Juanita), Julie Garza (Art), Paula Shaffer (Raul Guerra), 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
