Guadalupe (Quiroz) Moreno

Lupe was born March 30, 1933 in LaFeria, Texas. She moved to Brazoria County where she met the love of her life, Manuel Moreno and they married in July 1952. She had a passion for cooking and was known for her tamales around the holidays.

She is survived by her sons, David Moreno (Terrie) of Lake Jackson, Nabor Moreno (Crystal) and Steven Moreno of Clute; daughter Josie Ramirez (Oscar) of Clute and Esther Trevino (Frankie) of Bay City; grandchildren Oscar Lee Ramirez (Rosa) of Richmond, Albert Lee Ramirez of Austin, Joshua Trevino of Bay City, Jeremy Trevino of Bay City, Isabella Moreno of Clute, Mya Moreno of Clute and Jordan Trevino of Bay City; great-grandson Joaquin (Max) Ramirez and a great granddaughter, Charlie, who will arrive in May. Brothers, Severo Garcia of Clute, Jose Guadalupe Garcia of San Antonio, Arthur Garcia of San Antonio, Carlos Garcia of Brazoria, Raul Garcia of San Antonio; sisters, Mary Helen Alvarado of San Antonio and Dorothy Martinez of San Antonio. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and best friend Silveria Martinez and special niece Aurora Martinez along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Moreno, her parents, brothers; Antonio Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Vincente Garcia, Richard Garcia and Rosendo Garcia and sister Esther Salazar.

Pallbearers will be Tony Garcia, Robert Salazar Jr, Martin Martinez, Rene Martinez, Oscar Lee Ramirez, and Tony Cabrara.

Visitation will be held Sunday January 9, 2011 at Restwood Funeral Home from 4 pm to 6 pm with a rosary to be held at 6 pm. The funeral services will be held at St Jerome’s Catholic Church in Clute at 2:00 pm on Monday January 10, 2011 with graveside services at Restwood Cemetery.
