

He was born December 17th, 1939 to David and Georgia Mae Wright, in Hagerman, New Mexico, the oldest of three children. Hadley moved to Lake Jackson in April of 1966 with his young family. He worked many years in the areas as a welder and pipe fitter, owned a business selling mechanic tools for a few years, and retired from Freeport Welding in December of 2005.
Hadley is survived by Jean, his loving wife of 51 years and two daughters, Kathy Simmank and husband Fred of The Woodlands and Liz Francis and husband Dave of Deer Park; grandchildren Kevin Harrison, Jacy Harrison and Emily Simmank; sisters Laverne Plumlee and husband Jim of Nocona, Texas and Doris Switzer and husband Galen of New Braunfels, Texas; brother-in-law James Phillips and wife Irma of Malaga, New Mexico; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at Restwood Funeral Home Chapel, Clute, Texas on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment will be held privately by the family at a later date in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Hadley was a loving husband, father and grandfather who left his family with many fond memories and who will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend thanks to the nurses and staff of Helping Hands and Hearts Hospice.
