Heinrich Christian Aletter, 90, of Lake Jackson, TX, passed away quietly on September 7, 2021, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Heinrich was born to Christian and Frieda (Thomsen) Aletter on February 11, 1931, in Bad Naheim, Germany.
Heinrich married Katharina (Nunn) Aletter in Frankfurt Germany on July 20, 1954.
As a young man, Heinrich trained as a butcher in Germany. After getting married, he and his wife immigrated to Australia in 1954. They then moved to the United States in 1958, eventually settling in Arkansas. After working in the meat packing industry for numerous years, he opened his own butcher shop in North Little Rock, Arkansas, which he and his wife ran for several decades. He retired to Lake Jackson in 2002 to be near his daughter and grandchildren.
Heinrich and his wife loved to swim in the mornings at the LJ Rec Center. He was a member of St Michael’s Catholic Church, where he could be seen on the second row at Sunday 8am mass until Covid. He had a quick wit and loved to tell stories and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
