Ignacio Damian Jr., born on March 18, 1955, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 31, 2024. He shared his life's journey with his beloved wife Anita, whom he married in 2008. Ignacio leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
Ignacio's presence will be deeply missed by his daughters Marlena Ruelas, Melissa Furnari, and Morgan Furnari, along with his cherished grandchildren Madison, Matthew, Macie, Myles, Molly, and Madden, and great-granddaughter Maylie.
In addition to his immediate family, Ignacio is remembered by his stepdaughters Consuelo, Anita, and Samantha, and step-grandchildren Adriana, Mia, Ali, and Alyssa.
He is also survived by his siblings: sisters Josie Lucas and Brenda Damian, and brother Ricky Damian. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Damian Sr. and Lillie Damian, and his brother Ernest Damian.
Throughout his life, Ignacio achieved remarkable milestones. His dedication to his work at Dow Chemical as a process operator, from 1977 until his retirement in 2008, exemplified his commitment and work ethic. He was a devout member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary's Star of the Sea in Freeport, where he served as President and devoted servant of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Additionally, he was an active member of the Altar Society and faithfully served as an Acolyte.
Ignacio’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 3:00pm at Restwood Funeral Home, Clute Tx.
