Irene E. Piña, 85, a longtime resident of Angleton, Texas, passed away on October 28th. She was born on October 25th, 1941, to Cornelio Escobedo and Maria Apolinar Diaz.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Candido; four siblings; three children, and one grandchild.
She is survived by; her siblings, Julia Aguilera, Demetrio Vasquez, and Jesus Vasquez; her children, Dora Gutierrez (Pete), Aida Yates (David), Rosa Crain, Candido Piña (Debra), Albert Piña (Crystal), Irene Monclova (Matthew), and Sergio Piña; She was also survived by her 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and her 16 great-great-grandchildren.
The Viewing is on Friday, November 6th, 2026, at Restwood Funeral Home, Visitation and Services are from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services will be officiated by Pastor Alfonso Trevino. Dinner will follow after the service at Fuente de Agua Viva on 14060 S. Hwy 288 B, Angleton, TX 77515. Arrangements will be made by Restwood Funeral Home.
