J Monico Arroyo

J Monico (El Tio) Arroyo, 66, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 30th, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by family after a battle with cancer. He was born on November 3rd to J Jesus and Paulina Arroyo, in San Guillermo GTO Mexico.

For many years, he worked as a painter and sand blaster for Brand. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his chickens and dogs. He loved to cook and spend time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and watch sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents J Jesus and Paulina Arroyo.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Beatrice Arroyo; son, Mario Gonzales (Terri) of Friendswood, Texas; daughter, Ashley Ayala (Ismael) of Rosharon, Texas; grandchildren, Mario Gonzales Jr., Alexis, Angela, and Alicia Mendeola, Madison Gonzales, Faith Vargas, Adam Ayala, and Sadie Gonzales; 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces; sister, Maria Trinidad Arroyo; brothers, J Fortino Arroyo, and J Feliberto Arroyo, all of Mexico.

Pallbearers will be Billy A Williams Jr., Ismael Ayala, Alejandro Compean, Jose Hernandez, Leobardo Ramirez, and Raul Guevara.

A visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home, located at 1038 West Plantation Dr., Clute, TX 77531, on February 4, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary Service will take place at the same venue on February 4, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

The Funeral Service is scheduled for February 5, 2026, at St Joseph Catholic Church, 219 County Rd 762, Brazoria, Texas, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The Committal Service will follow at Restwood Memorial Park, 1038 W Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531, at 11:30 am.
