He was born March 16, 1942 in Freeport to Floyd and Inez Tarrant.
James a long-time resident of Jones Creek loved Telling jokes, gardening in his yard, a beloved father and an avid fisherman. He attended school in Freeport, graduating from Brazosport High School, Later earning a bachelor degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Edgar and Clyde. James is survived by his two sons Kendall and Kevin Tarrant and his two grandchildren; Sarah and Hanna.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30am on Saturday, December 19, 2020.
Grave side services only due to COVID-19 concerns, A memorial service will be planned later in 2021. James was a supporter of many worthy causes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
The CDC Covid-19 Guideline of wearing a mask and social distancing is required and seating is limited.
