John S. Flores

John was born October 11, 1936 in Victoria, Texas the son of Pedro and Virginia Flores; he graduated from Pattie Welder High School in 1955 and served in the United States Airforce from 1957 to 1960. John married Patsy Cabrera on June 25, 1966 and eventually came to reside in Clute, TX with their two sons Jason and Nick Flores.

Along with spending time with his family he enjoyed watching sports. From tee ball coach to the foundation of the Flores family John served many roles in life, his absence will never be replaced and his lessons of life and love will reign on. In short John Salazar Flores was a “Good Man”.

John is preceded in death by his wife Patsy Flores, his parents and various brothers and sisters. John is survived by his two sons John Jason Flores and Andrew Nicholas Flores and wife Melissa Flores; 4 grandchildren: Jon Eric, Brittany, Gloria and Nicky, his youngest sister Eloise “ Kina” Colunga and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Viewing is Friday June 13, 2014 from 6 to 8pm with the Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday June 14, 2014. Interment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jon Eric Flores, Juan Rocha, Jr; Jesse Cabrera, Tommy Flores, Robert Zavala, Eligio Ramos. Honorary pallbearers will be George Brigham, Danny Flores, Felix “Goo Goo” Flores and all of John’s brothers-in-law and nephews.
