Jorge Mata was born to parents Juan Manuel Mata, Carmen V Mata, on September 07, 1960, in Rio Bravo Tamaulipas Mexico.
Jorge Mata married Salustia (Lucha) Mata in San Martin Texmelucan, Puebla Mexico on May 18,1985.
Jorge worked for 25 years as an industrial painter in the industry for Tipco/Brand.
Jorge Mata was a loving husband, Father, and Grandparent. In his spare time, he enjoyed painting cars and taking trips to the Valley to see his mother, father, and siblings. At home, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in the living room and make lots of noise and laugher, and loved to talked about the good old days.
Jorge is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Manuel Mata & Carmen Mata; sister, Hilda Pena Mata; & nephew, Juan Kristian Mata.
Jorge is survived by his wife, Salustia (Lucha) Mata; his sons, Jorge A. Mata, Jose Xavier Mata, & James Mata; daughter in law, Viridiana S. Mata; grandchildren, Aliana I. Mata, Xavier A. Mata, Jorge M. Mata, and Jovani X. Mata; sisters, Leticia Pena Mata, & Julia Hernandez Mata; and brother, Juan Mata Jr.
Serving as pallbearers are nephews, Edwin Pena Mata, Karlos Mata, John V. Hernandez, Juan Jose, Pena Mata; and family friend Anthony Madrigal.
Honorary pallbearers are sons, Jorge Alberto Mata, Jose Xavier Mata, James Mata.
A viewing will be held Thursday, September 28th, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Restwood Funeral Home (1038 W Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531)
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 29th, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Catholic Church (201 N Lazy Ln, Clute, Tx 77531) with burial to follow afterwards at Restwood Memorial Park (1038 W Plantation Dr, Clute TX 77531)
