Josefa Hernandez, of Brazoria, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Restwood Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park. The pallbearers will be her grandsons Adrian Hernandez, David Alexander, Gilbert Alexander, Justin Perez, Clintt Truitt and Draven Copeland. Honorary pallbearer will be Rogelio Munoz, Jr.
Josefa was born April 16, 1946 to Ricardo and Sara Martinez. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by numerous family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents; and granddaughter Julia Danielle Munoz.
Survivors include her husband Ruben Hernandez; brother Ruben Martinez and wife Alice; children Ricardo Rene Hernandez, Edward David Hernandez and wife Rachel, Anna Alexander and husband Robert, Mario Antonio Hernandez and wife Roseann, and Rosalinda Hernandez; 21 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren
