Juan Rocha

Juan Raul Rocha, 74, of Mission, Texas, and longtime resident of Richwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026. He was born on February 29, 1952, to Carmen and Raul Rocha.

Juan dedicated more than 35 years of his career to BASF as a Laboratory Technician before retiring in October 2020. Along the way, he built countless friendships and earned the respect of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all, Juan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a hardworking man whose kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He freely shared his wisdom, offered a helping hand whenever it was needed, and lived a life defined by integrity, compassion, and perseverance. His greatest joy was caring for his family, and his legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Raul Rocha; his beloved wife, Evangelina Rocha; his cherished son, Jaime M. Rocha; and his dear sister, Maria "Betty" Rodriguez. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

He is lovingly survived by his son, Juan Raul Rocha Jr.; Flor Rocha and Raul I. Rocha, whom he raised as his own and loved dearly; and his daughter-in-law, Yuliana Rocha, wife of Raul I. Rocha. He is also survived by his sisters, Elvia Ortega, Esperanza Rocha, Patricia Rocha-Ravanes, and San Juanita Rocha; his brother, Ricardo Rocha; and his cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews: Renee Rocha, Romeo Ravanes, Evangelina Ravanes, Cassandra Caloca, Jaime Caloca, Juan Carlos Zubiate, Darren Garza Jr., Azeal Aguirre, Isabella Aguirre, Isaiah Rocha, Israel Rocha, and Ameerah Rocha.

He also leaves behind many beloved extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life honoring Juan will be held at Restwood Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Clute, Texas. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow.
