Julian Betancourt

Julian enjoyed listening to classic rock music from the 1960’s and 1970’s, as well as going to the beach, swimming, and spending time with his family.

Julian was preceded in death by his parents Santiago and Leonor Betancourt, his first wife Maria Louisa Betancourt, his brothers Santiago “Jimmy” Betancourt and David Betancourt, his brothers-in-law Edward Charles and Hugo Ponce, his niece Lisa Betancourt and nephew Richard Charles.

Julian is survived by his wife Judy Betancourt, his sisters Flora McAtee and her husband Michael, Pauline Charles, Eloisa Ponce, Berta Sowell and her husband Thomas, Norma Mitchell and her husband William, and Mary Garcia and her husband Richard. In addition, Julian is survived by his brothers Thomas Betancourt and his wife Norma, Conrad Betancourt, and Samuel Betancourt. Julian is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and grand nieces and nephews.

A Service and Celebration of Julian’s Life will take place at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, officiated by Michael McAtee. Burial will immediately follow at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, Texas.
