

Kathleen “Kathy” Perry, of Freeport, was born Thursday, November 3, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Kenneth Wayne Evans and Mary Lynne Pool and died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in Freeport at the age of 49 years, 8 months and 24 days.
Kathy was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and mother. She enjoyed spending time with family! Kathy wore many hats during her life and had varied interests including being outside, tending a garden, starting new projects, supporting various charities, the arts and theater. She had an artistic spirit and used her talents to teach mosaic at the local college. She worked with crafts, loved to shop (ALWAYS finding the bargains!), was a hopeless romantic and had a flair for interior design. She met no strangers, was the life of the party, wherever she was, and was a Quality Coordinator for INEOS Oxide, while working in sales for many years! At one time, she even owned an Antique Shop in Downtown Freeport.
Kathy is preceded in death by her daughter, Megan Elizabeth Perry and a step-sister, Kimberly Tumlin.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Lynne Tumlin, and step-father Cecil, of Lake Jackson, Texas; father, Kenneth Wayne Evans of Baytown, Texas; son, Robert Johnson, Jr. and Rebecca French of Houston; brother, Mark Evans and his wife, Kenda, of Houston; step-sister, Kelly Lewis of Huntsville; nieces, Heather Ehlinger and her husband Robert of Houston, Rachel Lewis of Houston and Amy Gutierrez of Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson with Senior Pastor, Transitional, Dr. Tommy Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Restwood Funeral Home.
