

Laura Lee Kelley, of Angleton, was born, Monday, November 8, 1971 in Angleton, Texas to Gary Lynn Kelly, Sr. and Mildred Louise Norsworthy Kelley and died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in Houston, Texas after a long, courageous, battle with cancer at the age of 40 years and 8 days. Laura was a very devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She never met a stranger and she greeted everyone with her beautiful smile. Laura loved watching her sons on the football and soccer fields; she was their biggest cheerleader! Once her nephews and nieces got older, she attended their sporting events. The outdoors is where Laura preferred to be especially camping with her family, trail riding with her friends and fishing with that special someone. She was a dedicated employee at Target for the past 18 years. During her fight with cancer, she never complained about her pain or treatments. Instead, she was determined to stay strong for her family and friends. Up until the very end, Laura was concerned for others, wanting to make sure that they were OK, always thinking of others first. Laura is preceded in death by her father, Gary Lynn Kelley, Sr; grandparents, Willie and Bernice Norsworthy and Sam and Nettie Kelley and a cousin, Amber Norsworthy. She is survived by her parents, Mildred and Mike Zimmer; sons, David Larkin Harding III and Jonathan Taylor Sullivan; sister, Michelle Dirzanowski Varga and her husband, Pat; brother, Gary Lynn Kelley, Jr. and his wife Missy; nieces, Madison and Mallory Varga; nephews, Shayne and Shelby Kelley; special friend, Simon Johnson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
