Laurie Jean Johnson

Laurie Jean Johnson born June 12, 1958, who resided in Brazoria, passed away December 31, 2011 after fighting a remarkable 8 month battle against lung cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, and nana. Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, L. M. (Cotty) and Doris VanNorman. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Sterling Johnson, daughters Jennifer Johnson, Kristina Lindsey, Stephanie Brossman, son in law Bryan Brossman, and her grandchildren Kamryn Cryer, Kyla Lindsey, Colin Lindsey, Caleb Cryer, Connor James Lindsey, Cole Cryer and baby Kaley Brossman arriving in May 2012. She is also survived by her sisters Terry Pelzer, Sheryl Forrester, Jerri Jo Spitz, and her brother Leslie VanNorman and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Bryan Brossman, Ronnie Cook, Ernest Lester Johnson, Gary Krenek, Dusty Park, and Dennis Tepera. Honorary pallbearers are her four grandsons Colin, Caleb, Connor and Cole, Leslie VanNorman, Russell Ross and Keith Ross. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will commence at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel.
