

Leon was born to Annie and Vaclav Jasek on February 15, 1931 in Novohrad, Texas. He was one of six children.
Leon married Bobbie Gene Green in Palacios, Texas on May 31, 1958.
Leon proudly served in the United States National Guard from 1953 to 1961.
Leon worked for 28 years as a Chemist for Dow Chemical.
Leon graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1963 with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and joined Dow as a process operator and soon moved into a Research Chemist role. Leon was a devout Catholic and a Faithful Servant. He was a 52 year 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus and a 30 year 4th Degree Sir Knight. Leon served as Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus and was a charter member of St Michael’s parish and Council 6812 of Lake Jackson.
Dad enjoyed his friends, his family, his grandchildren, deer leases, campfires, dancing, family reunions, and serving with the Knights. Dad was quick to smile, quick to offer a helping hand and slow to anger.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents, Annie & Vaclav Jasek, parents-in-law, Lillian & Sherman Green; sisters, Bernadette Motal, Mary Sutton; brothers, Benjamin Jasek, Patrick Jasek; nephews, Brian Jasek, Benny Jasek; niece, Teresa Cannon.
Leon is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bobbie; son, Mark & Nelda Jasek; daughters, Lynn & Chris Armstrong, Trish & Brian Murphy; grandchildren Andrea, Jonathan, and Jessica Jasek, Cody Armstrong, Garrett and Mason Murphy; brother, Jim & Shelly Jasek ; sister-in-law, Pam & Greg Reif; brother-in-law, Wallis Green; sisters-in-law, Pam Jasek & Marlisle Jasek and numerous nephews and nieces.
Serving as pallbearers are his grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 1120 of Freeport.

Visitation at the Restwood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson will be Monday, October 3, from 5:30 to 8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4 at 10:30 AM St Michaels Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, Texas
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the Alzheimers Association (Alz.org), Saint Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of your choice.
