LeRoy Lewis Jr, was born October 7, 1925 in Erie, PA to LeRoy Glen Lewis and Edna Mae Skelton Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Ruth Lewis; brothers, Lloyd Glen Lewis, Harrison Fred Lewis, Frank Edwin Lewis; sisters, Vivian Mae Lewis Miranda, Velma Mabel Lewis Henry, and Wanda Elaine Lewis Kelly. He is survived by his children, LeRoy Glen Lewis III & wife Ladonna, Susan Gail Lewis Baker & husband John, and Bruce Neal Lewis & wife Carla; his grandchildren, Jennifer Pilat & husband Philip, Sherry Higdon & husband Dan, J.C. Baker & wife Amy, Lindsey Vermillion, Michael Lewis & wife Karina, Jennifer Baker, Jeff Lewis, Allysa Lewis, and Vicki Lewis and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Lewis is a veteran of the US Navy, serving 11 years. During WWII, he served on the submarine, USS Greenling-SS 213 in the South Pacific. He was retired from Dow Chemical after 29 years as a senior electrician. He also had a part-time home tax business. He served on several committees and in several organizations; Senior Citizen Commission of Lake Jackson, City Council of Quintana, Fraternal Order of the Eagles for 43 years, Volunteer at Brazosport Regional Medical Center for 3 years, worked the voting polls around Brazoria County for more than a decade, and is a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus.

We will miss Mr. LeRoy at our meetings and functions of the Knights of Columbus Council 10443 and Assembly 2916 in Grenada. He was a shining light wherever he went. I am sure he will add to Heaven's glory. May he Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Leroy. I didn't get to be around him very often but I enjoyed him. He will be missed here at Providence. My prayers are with all of you and may the Lord hold all of you in his hands at this time.
