Loretta Morgan Fahrmeier, 94, of Spring, Texas, formerly of Lake Jackson, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2018 in Spring, Texas. Loretta was born on February 2, 1924 in Morehouse, Missouri to Mabel Brown Morgan and Samuel Ray Morgan. Loretta married Marvin Fahrmeier in St. Louis, Missouri on April 4, 1947 and was married to Marvin for 63 years.
Loretta was the second oldest of 11 children. In California, where Marvin was stationed, Loretta worked as a riveter on airplanes and also worked as an ammunition inspector during World War II. After the war, they moved back to Missouri, where she worked as a seamstress in a garment factory. In the early 1950s, Marvin and Loretta moved to Freeport, Texas so Marvin could begin working at Dow Chemical. Loretta was a very hard worker and loved to sew. She was also a very insightful and wise person and convinced the family to move to Lake Jackson in 1968. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson. She loved playing card games with her Christian friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was a very generous person and showed her love through giving gifts.
Loretta is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Fahrmeier; brother, Hassel Morgan; mother, Mabel Brown Morgan; father, Samuel Ray Morgan; sister, Elaine Jett; brother, Ralph Morgan; brother, Dennis Morgan; and sister, Mary Ellen Apollo.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Nancy (Steve) Broadway; and Barbara (Mario) Rodriguez. Loretta is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, Emily (Kirk) Arthur, David (Katie) Broadway, Michael (Diana) Broadway, Lori Rodriguez, Robert (Patricia) Rodriguez, Marcus Rodriguez, and Stephen, Luke, Abby, Seth, and numerous family members and friends.
The family will be holding a private service at a later date and time.
