Lucas Reyes Jr.

Lucas Reyes Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great - grandfather, passed away on October 9, 2025 surrounded by family. He was the cherished and devoted grandson of Elvira Salinas Contreras, the most important person in his life. Son of Lucas Reyes Sr. and Natalia Contreras Lopez.

Lucas was preceded in death by his brothers Felix Lopez Sr. and Robert Lee “Bobby” Lopez Sr. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Lionor “ Chata” Garza Reyes; Children Elvira Henry (Jeffrey); Lucas Reyes III (Lena); Elias Reyes (Stella); Melissa “Melissa G” Sanderson (Joseph).

He was the proud grandfather to Adriana Olivia Reyes; Caleb Lucas Reyes; Christian Ethan Reyes; Tamyra Elvira Reyes; Tatiana Kiara Reyes; and Gabriela Imani Reyes; and great grandfather to Damion “Choo Choo” Tolbert, Emery Jade Tolbert, and Aceyon Anthony “Aces” Spencer.

A Vietnam Veteran, Lucas served his country with honor and courage. Beyond his service , he found happiness in life’s simple pleasures - fishing, playing softball, shooting pool, playing poker, and in spending time with his loved ones.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

A a celebration of lucas' life for Lucas will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 West Plantation Dr., Clute, TX 77531.
