Manuel Tapia Rodriguez

Manuel Tapia Rodriguez, 84, born January 23, 1942, in Santa María del Río, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, passed away on August 23, 2026, in Pearland, Texas. His life was marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a warm spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

In 1967, Manuel moved to Houston, Texas, seeking opportunity and a better future. It was there that he built a beautiful life with his wife, Maria Martha Salazar, whom he married in 1970. Together, they raised a strong and loving family rooted in faith, unity, and tradition.

Manuel worked for many years at Industrial Specialist, dedicating himself to his craft with pride and discipline. He later retired from Brand, leaving behind a legacy of reliability, skill, and respect among his coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Maria Martha, his parents Jesus and Bernarda Rodriguez, and his siblings Amparo Galvan, Rafael Rodriguez, and Engracia Rodriguez Ornelas.

He is succeeded in life by his siblings Carmen Villela, Maria Guadalupe Jaimez, and Filimon Rodriguez; his children Manuel Rodriguez (Selene), Francisco Rodriguez (Claudia), Mario Rodriguez, Socorro Rodriguez-Iracheta (Martin), and Martha Hernandez (Josh); and numerous family members that he loved dearly.

Manuel was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 11 great‑grandchildren, and 1 great‑great‑grandchild, all of whom he adored deeply. He loved spoiling them and buying them Shipley’s, sharing laughter, and making every moment feel special.

Outside of work and family gatherings, Manuel found joy in gardening and maintaining his yard, taking pride in the beauty he cultivated. He loved socializing, telling stories, and bringing smiles to the faces of those around him. His humor, kindness, and warmth will be remembered forever.

Manuel will be laid to rest at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, Texas.
