Margarita Hernandez Maya

Margarita Maya, 86, went to be with the Lord on July 28 2015 at her home in Clute TX with her family by her side. Margarita was born on July 6 1929 to loving parents Salvador & Anita Hernandez in Comonfort Guanajuato, Mexico.

One of 11 children, Margarita came to the United States where she raised her family. Margarita loved to garden, spending time in her flower garden to beautify her home. She loved to cook – and more, her family loved for her to cook. They will definitely miss the meals she made and shared with them all. She loved to sew, providing many needed things for her family with her own hands. Above all else, she loved her family and they love her; she will be missed, and her memories will be cherished forever.

Margarita is survived by her children, Guadalupe Cisneros (Samuel), Enrigue Maya (Liz), Natividad Paniagua (Rigo), Carlos Maya (Natividad), Norma Smith, and Martha Toscano (John); grandchildren, Samuel Cisneros Jr. (Angela), Ricardo Cisneros, Freddie Cisneros (Michelle), Janet Rodriguez (Bryan), Michael Smith, Jacklyn Smith, Antonio Toscano, and Paulina Toscano; great-grandchildren, Samuel Cisneros III, Aeden Cisneros, Spencer Cisneros, Katherine Cisneros, Karina Rodriquez, Khloe Rodriguez, and Viviana Damian; and her siblings, Jesus Hernandez, Francisca Hernandez, Socorro Soto, Jose Hernandez, and Trinidad Hernandez.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Maya, Enrique Maya, Samuel Cisneros Jr, Ricardo Cisneros, Freddie Cisneros, Johnny Toscano, Antonio Toscano, Samuel Cisneros III, Rigo Paniagua, and Michael Smith.

Services will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Thursday July 30 2015; visitation will begin at 12, and funeral services will start at 2pm.

Margarita will be laid to rest in Restwood Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following services.
