Maria Del Carmen Guerrero

January 4, 1959September 2, 2020

Maria Del Carmen Guerrero, 61, of lake Jackson, TX, went to be with the lord on September 2nd, 2020. Carmen was born to Maria Elena Salazar and Pedro Salazar on January 4th 1959 in Mission, TX. Carmen married the love of her life, Jose Guerrero in Lake Jackson on November 8th 1978.

Carmen was a dedicated teacher for about 35 years before retiring from BISD to spend more time with family and friends. Many who knew Carmen, knew how much she loved her family. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and teacher. She was always happy to help others and knew just what to say to make others feel better. One of the things she love to do the most was travel to California. She enjoyed her yearly trips to Disney with family. Even though she went a lot , she never got tired of going there. You would often see her on her weekly outings to eat and to the mall with her mom, niece (Alicia), and great niece (Sofia).

Carmen is preceded in death by her father (Pedro Salazar) and her grandparents. Carmen is survived by her husband Jose; her mother Maria (Elena) Salazar; her brothers: Tommy (Tomasito), Ramiro(Ram)and wife (Diana), Pedro (Pete) and sister Eva and husband (Everardo); her nieces and nephews: Alicia (Licha), Pedro (Pete), Mykel, Marcos, Eric, And Alyssa; and great nieces and nephews: Sofia (SB), Ethan, Kaylee, and Jenna.
