Maria Germana Herrera was born in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico, who was a devoted woman of faith who dedicated her life to her home and, above all, to her family. A devout Catholic, her faith was an important part of her life and provided her with strength and guidance throughout her years.
Maria was the beloved wife of Rutilio Herrera and a devoted mother to her three children: Maria Guadalupe Herrera, Martin Herrera, and Carlos Herrera. She was also a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren: Ubaldo Nevarez Jr., Yael Nevarez, Yulissa Nevarez, Alondra Nevarez, Carlos Daniel Herrera, Emilia Herrera, Carolina Herrera, Andrea Herrera, and Mariana Herrera.
As a grandmother, Maria had a special way of showing her love. She would come over to visit her grandchildren and was always happy to spoil them. Those visits and the love and generosity she showed her grandchildren are memories that will remain treasured by her family.
Maria was born to Toribio Olguin and Paula Meraz and was one of eight siblings. She is survived by her sisters, Maria Guadalupe Olguin and Maria de la Paz Olguin. She was preceded in death by her siblings Maria de los Angeles Olguin, Erasto Olguin, Daria Olguin, Victor Olguin, and Gaudencio Olguin.
