Born to Paul and Dolena Shaw, the second child following his brother Greg, Mike made their family of four complete. The family moved to Texas in 1969. Mike spent most of his life living in lake Jackson, Texas. He graduated from Brazosport high-school and went on to earn a Bachelors in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX. After many different jobs, he landed on the career of car sales, where he has climbed through the ranks to become a General Manager. His career path has taken him through various other dealerships, but most recently he has found a home at Honda of Lake Jackson.
He enjoyed being the first person on the golf course in the morning, racing the sun to get his “line” in the water, enjoying an icy cold beer on a Sunday while watching the Cowboys, and being one of the top players in the world on Golden-Tee. Watching Star Trek as a child gave him a love for gadgets and all things science. He most enjoyed taking his Grandson “J-Diggity” Jaden to school and making videos to share online.
A beautiful person and leader, Mike was filled with kindness, laughter, caring, and was always thoughtful of others. He had the ability to see into others, he spoke with confidence and concision, he had a love for helping build others up to help them grow and excel, and the all-around love mike shared impacted everyone around him. His goofiness, charisma, charm, and empathy make Mike Shaw the man we all knew and loved.
Mike is survived by his high school sweetheart whom he married, Debbie Shaw. They have been together for 45 years and had four children together; Son Aaron and wife Veronica, (Grandchildren- Jaden...the one who first called him CHIEF, Thomas, and Theodore), Son Dale, Daughter Sarah and fiancé Skyler, (Grandchild- Syrus, and future first granddaughter Star...name chosen by Mike), Son Matthew and wife Jordan, (Grandchild- Beauregard), parents Paul and Dolena Shaw, and brother Greg Shaw.
