Patricia was born in Freeport, Texas on July 27, 1940. She died September 9, 2020 at the age of 80 in Lake Jackson, Texas. Pat was the fourth and youngest child of Dewey Dewitt and Dorothy Mae Spiller of Freeport. Pat graduated from Brazosport High School in 1958. She also earned an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology from Brazosport College.

Pat is survived by her husband of fifty eight years, Paul S. Green of Lake Jackson; son Jerome F. Green and grandson Jordan Isaiah Green of Denver Colorado; granddaughters Kaiya Kristof and Sierra Green of Lake Jackson, Texas; Sister Doris A. Herod of Sugarland, Texas; Brother Donald D. Spiller and wife Beverly of La Porte, Texas; Nieces and Nephews - Annette Carleton and Tara Carleton, Groves, Texas; Yvette Carleton Shaw, Minden, Louisiana; Cathy Williams, Colorado; Candace Smits and husband Val of Sugarland, Texas; Dan Dewitt Herod and wife Susan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Janette Boodhai and husband Kenny of Pasadena, Texas; Cozette Cherukennel and husband Augie of Missouri City, Texas; and Donald Dewitt Spiller and wife Liz of Houston, Texas.

Pat had a good soprano voice and enjoyed singing both in the Brazosport H.S. Acapella Choir and several church choirs. She was a devoted Christian and prayer warrior. Her most recent church membership is in the First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, Texas.

Pat enjoyed decorating rooms and pretty flowers. She served as the chairman of the First Baptist Church flower decorating committee for several years. She volunteered to decorate churches and wedding reception areas for many couples and sometimes Paul took the photos. Pat and Paul loaded their minivan with lattices, candles, and flowers and headed out of town several times to provide wedding decorations for relatives.

Pat enjoyed decorating their home for Thanksgiving and Christmas and being hostess for extended family celebrations. Television cooking channel programs provided ideas and encouragement.

Pat and Paul made several special trips in their younger years. These included taking a nephew and niece to Disney World, church building trips to Nevada and Colorado, a vacation to the California coast, a visit to Alaska, a three week tour of Europe and a visit to the Holy Land in Israel.

However, sharing love with family and close friends, and praising the Lord were the most important things to her.

Pat & I had been friends for forever. I will truly miss our yearly “birthday calls”. Although we had not seen each other in many, many years, when we talked on the phone it was like we visited every day. It’s hard to think in December I will not see Pat Green pop up on my phone. Love you Pat & I know you are watching down on us from Heaven.
