

Patsy graduated at age 16 from Pasadena High School, Pasadena TX in 1972; and later graduated from Rice University in 1976. Patsy was highly intelligent and was fluent in four different languages. She held many positions and had a variety of careers; all of which she taught herself and excelling in each. At the time of her death, Patsy was working as a forensic auditor and preparing for certification this field.
Patsy was an active Rice University alumnus and was a passionate philanthropist, giving her time, money, and other resources to bird sanctuaries, crisis hot lines, teaching women life and sewing skills in the Tarrant County Jail, working with the Dallas Womens’ League, Muller Film & Television Education Foundation, Grapevine Texas’ Grapefest (part of the “Dirty Dozen”), and numerous other worthy causes.
Patsy was fiercely loyal to her family and friends, selflessly giving to and for them in order to help them improve their lives. She left too soon and will be greatly missed.
Patsy is survived by her parents, Santos Rangel Jr. & Leonides Arevalo; brothers Frank Rangel, John Rangel; sister Shirley Rangel, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews (whom she loved dearly), and other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 16 2016 at 9:00am at St. Jerome Catholic Church of Clute TX.
Patricia will be laid to rest at Restwood Memorial Park.
