Patsy Ruth Worley Foster was excitedly welcomed home by Jesus and her husband, Darrell, on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Pat was born on September 13, 1932 at her home near Haynesville Louisiana to Thelma and Charles Drew Worley.
She and her 2 older sisters, Montez and Norma, grew up on the family farm with memories of taking the cotton to town, milking the cows, and all other such farming activities.
Pat graduated with honors from Haynesville High School where she met, and eventually married, her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Darrell Foster. Pat was an enthusiastic, ardent, and loving supporter of D. O. As they both committed their lives to pastoral ministry. They served in churches in North Louisiana from Alexandria to Arcadia to Dubach to West Monroe and to Shreveport.
Pat felt called to minister to the ladies in the churches where they served. She was a Bible study teacher, and she played the piano for the services as needed.

D. O. and Pat felt God’s call to First Baptist Church Pearland, Texas in 1965. There she continued to minister to women and, also, attended classes at Alvin Community College. She taught kindergarten at FBC Pearland. She developed an interest in firing ceramics complete with her own kiln.
Pat and Darrell loved people and loved sharing the gospel of Christ.
Education was a given expectation for their children, Kathy and Barry. Consequently, Kathy attended Howard Payne University, and Barry attended Baylor University. Mom and Dad just somehow made it happen.
D. O. and Barry visited the Holy Land in 1971. Following that trip, Pat felt the urge to visit Israel. This urge culminated and 30 trips to Israel over a 50 year span of time. Pat planned each trip to the minute details. Oh the memories and friendships they treasured as they introduced many others to our Lord’s land and his steps.
Pat loved to go to her beautiful Colorado in the Fall. To Pat and Darrell, Colorado was God’s country. Pat was quite adventuresome going on hikes and taking Jeep trips.
Pat obtained her real estate license and enjoyed working at American Realty with Charles Castleberry.
Pat was awarded the title of “Grandmommie Pat” as 5 grandchildren came into her life. She adored them.
Pat enjoyed taking cruises with friends over their 65 years plus of ministry. Understand that Pat planned meticulously for every trip whether to Israel or Colorado or their worldwide cruises.
For about 20 years Pat was a jeweler with Premier Designs, and hosted many home shows, all the while sharing her ministry mission.
