Raymond Fuentes Salinas

Raymond “Ray” Fuentes Salinas, 63, of Richwood, originally of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at his home in Richwood surrounded by his family.

Ray served in the United States Air force for 6 years. He retired from Dow and went on to be a professor and retired from Brazosport College and Alvin Community College.

Ray is preceded by his father, Ruben Salinas Sr.; brother, Ruben Salinas Jr.; and sister, Irma Salinas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Salinas; two daughters, Sarah Salinas, Natalie Salinas; granddaughter, Gabriella Garcia; mother, Nickey Salinas; brothers and sisters, Edna Muñoz, Lydia Salinas, Estella Ramirez, David Salinas, Robert Salinas; and many beloved, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A time of gathering and visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W. Plantation Drive, Clute, Texas 77531.

Going home service will be held Friday, April 29, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at Primera Iglesia, 438 Hardy St., Clute, TX 77531. Pastor Gilbert Guel will be officiating.

Burial will follow at the Houston National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m., 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
