

Ronnie was born March 30, 1948, in Lufkin, Texas and attended school in Freeport, Texas. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1965-1971, as an Aviation Electronics Technician and earned the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged. He then joined the Peace Corps and served for two additional years.
Ron enjoyed owning and operating an automotive repair business in Clear Lake, Texas. He did long haul trucking delivering large boats to the East Coast, worked for Killion’s Exxon in Longview, Tx and drove for Academy Sports and Outdoors until his retirement. He then managed Bravo Mobile Home and RV Park in Clute, Tx until his recent second retirement.
Ronnie was a gifted woodworker, leather smith, knifemaker, hunter, and gun enthusiast. Those who knew him will remember him for always taking pride in his workmanship, quality, and precision. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Elsie Easley, and his brothers, Thomas Richard Easley, and Jerry Ralph Easley.
He is survived by his sister, Beverly Dorris, who lovingly cared for him until his homegoing, and by sisters-in-law Jane Easley and Edie Easley. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W Plantation Drive, Clute, TX on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, hospice, and friends whose kindness and care brought comfort during Ron’s final days.
