Shirley Maxine Day Price

October 3, 1937 – September 24, 2021

Shirley Maxine Day Price went to sit at the right hand of Jesus on September 24, 2021. Shirley was born in Freeport, Texas , on October 3, 1937 to Eugene Thomas Day, Sr. and Letha Cobb Day. She was the youngest and last living of eight children.

Shirley was a very kind and generous person. She gave her sons , Rod and Jimmy a good life, providing all that they needed and most of what they wanted. To do that she often worked two jobs. She loved deeply and fiercely, coming to the aid of her family and her friends by offering any kind of support they may have needed. Shirley was straightforward but what she said came from a place of love and from her desire that everyone have the best life they could. She will be greatly missed!

Shirley temporarily leaves behind her sons, Rod Daigle (and wife ,Penny) and Jimmy Daigle (and girlfriend, Nancy Wendel); grandchildren, Jason Hayes, Jennifer Hayes, Kelsey Shandley (and husband, Mason), Lindsey Daigle and Riley Daigle; great-grandchildren, Brady Shandley, Makayla Hayes Scott (and husband, Taylor) Jai, Jazilyn, Jennia, Juliani, Jordyn and Crystal Hayes; and her great-great-grandchild, Kayslee Scott.

She was greeted in Heaven by her grandsons, Christopher Daigle and Joshua Daigle.

A special thank you goes out to Nancy Wendel for the wonderful care she gave Shirley as she approached the end of her life.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow. Both will be at Restwood Funeral Home.
