Suzanne Creswell Gautney

Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Roy and Pearl Creswell, Suzanne “SuSu” lived a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. After a courageous 15-year battle with cancer, she peacefully entered her heavenly home on September 30, 2025, reunited with her beloved parents.

Suzanne was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her family was her heart, and she especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy and light to her life.

She is survived by the love of her life, Robert Gautney, Sr.; sons Russell Grimes (Marcy) of Cat Spring and Jay Grimes (Alisha) of Angleton; bonus daughter Jennifer (Len) Casady of Alvin; sister Yvonne Creswell Boyington and nephew Jacob (Lauren) of Lake Jackson; brother Joey Creswell (Kathy) of Angleton; beloved cousin Barbara “Bobbie” Lanier of Lake Jackson; and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She leaves a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren:

Blake (Ashley) Grimes, Krystin (Clinton) Barnhill, Jace (Vivian) Grimes, Ethan (Madison) Grimes, Koda (Emma) Grimes, Landon Grimes, Brandon (Brooke) Bergen, Brent (Heather) Bergen, Stetson (Kayla) Whitley, Michelle (Matt) Casady, and Josh Casady.

Her love continues through her great-grandchildren:

Emmett, Everett, Charlee, and Heidi Grimes; Luke, Paicyn, and Briar Barnhill; Logan, Lane, and Charlotte Bergen; Vince and Cole Bergen; and Anja Whitley.
