Verna Bell Dvorak, of Freeport, was born August 5, 1928 in Cat Spring, Texas to Nonie (Luhn) and Andrew Jackson Jousan and died January 18, 2013 at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 13 days. Verna worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator for over 30 years. She also sold Watkins Products for many years. She loved sewing for people, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, gardening and canning. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Jousan and sister, Mary Ann Sweat. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Louise Jones of Brazoria, Vida Frances Moore of Deer Park, Debra Kay Williamson of Freeport; sister Irene Frances McKinney; 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
